Silvia Pinzaglia

Co-founder & Course Leader

Silvia, the co-founder of Creative Yoga School and Senior Yoga Teacher with the Yoga Alliance Professionals, has over 6,000 teaching hours and more than 1,000 training hours under her belt. This accreditation demonstrates excellent standards as set by Yoga Alliance Professionals.

Silvia’s journey started with meditation when she was only 17 years old, when she was struck by the healing and transformative qualities of the practice. She was very fortunate to train in Meditation, Crystal & Colour Therapy in 1998, a 100 hours teacher training with SEM school in Rome.

Years later she started her journey in the physical practice of the asana and pranayama. Fascinated by the mind-body connection in 2003, while working in Japan she decided to stay in a Buddhist monastery, a three months residential teacher training course, where she studied Zen philosophy and yoga. That was her first 300 hours teacher training.

Silvia attended a 200 hours teacher training in London with Yoga Professional where she was encouraged to progress on her Bhakti yoga journey.

Silvia also attended a 100 hours master course in Power Vinyasa Yoga in Italy with the Italian Federation of Yoga, a 130 hours course in the study of Chakra Meditation with Samsara Studios in London and a 100 hours course in Mindfulness.

In 2016 Silvia trained with international yoga teacher Shiva Rea in Prana Vinyasa Bhakti and Mandala yoga.

Over the years Silvia has practiced many styles of yoga, from Ashtanga, Hatha, Forrest, Power, to Kundalini and she has attended many workshops and trained with many inspiring teachers. She is immensely grateful to her teachers and to the practice and feels enormous gratitude to be able to pass on her passion and knowledge of this exceptionally powerful and uplifting ancient art.
Silvia continues to work diligently as a perpetual student of yoga, meditation and philosophy.

Manijeh Talaei

Co-founder & Yoga Teacher

Tala is the co-founder of Creative Yoga School. Tala has over 25 years experience in running international businesses and looking after clients accounts in both England and Iran.

 After many years in the business industry, Tala's great love for yoga led her to attend her first 200 hours teacher training yoga course. Tala also studied the healing power of chanting with Gabriella Burnel and will attend an Ashtanga yoga Teaching course under the guidance of international yoga teacher David Swenson by the end of the year.

She is a big believer in the life changing power of yoga and now teaches modified Ashtanga Vinyasa and Vinyasa yoga classes in studios across London.

Tala believes that by teaching and understanding yoga, she can truly help others in their life journeys. She sees yoga as a practice to discover our true self, and one that teaches us to recognise our own self worth.

Raj Sehgal

Philosophy Teacher

Raj was born and brought up in London. He graduated with his first degree BA Philosophy & Economics from the University of Stirling in Scotland. He then gained his MA Philosophy and PhD in Philosophy from University College London. Raj has over 20 years of experience in teaching philosophy. 

Raj’s first training in philosophy was in the Western tradition. He then discovered the truth, power and beauty in Indian Philosophy.



Raj’s own approach to teaching philosophy is to give the students both the Western and Indian perspectives on a particular philosophical issue. 

Raj’s classes are interactive and always involve debate between him and his students, and between the students themselves. A central aim of his classes is to help the students to understand what they think about a particular philosophical issue.

The aim of the classes is to help the students achieve greater self-understanding and greater clarity about their own philosophical thinking.

Raj teaches the following courses from Indian Philosophy: early Vedic philosophy; the Philosophy of the Upanishads; the epic Indian Literature of the Ramayana, the Mahabharata & the Bhagavad Gita; the ‘six systems’ of Indian Philosophy; Hinduism; Buddhism; the philosophy of yoga and contemporary Indian Philosophy.

Simon Biggs

Anatomy Teacher

Simon qualified as a Personal Trainer with the National Association of Sports Medicine in 2006.

A year later he decided to attend his first 200 hours yoga teacher training with the Himalaya Yoga Valley School in Goa India in Ashtanga Yoga. In 2008, he also attended a BTS in Pilates.

Simon is a recognised yoga teacher with the Yoga Alliance Professionals.

In 2016 he decided to take his love for the physical body further and he attended a Sports Massage Therapy course, a level 3 BTEC and in 2018 he studied Osteopathy with the European School of Osteopathy. Simon has been working as an Assistant Lecturer at the European School of Osteopathy since 2018. 

Simon’s work over the years has helped many students to understand how to explore and heal the human body with movement as well as mindfulness, allowing the body and mind to comprehend its full healing potential.

For the last 10 years Simon has worked with high profile sports athletes, training his clients in advance bio mechanics of sports science movement. Simon is also a Shamanic Worker and a Spiritual Worker where his focus has been placed on helping to release the trauma of events from past lives as well as creating a safe healing space for his clients.

Colette Park

Ayurveda Teacher

Colette Park (BSc Hons Ayurveda, MSc Clinical Nutrition)is a fully qualified Ayurvedic Practitioner, working full-time within the Ayurvedic field since 2010.

Originally from the West Coast of sunny South Africa, she moved to London in 2004 to realise her dream of studying Ayurveda. After being awarded a first class honours degree in Ayurveda from Mayur University, she embarked on a 6 month clinical internship in India. Upon returning to the UK from India, her interest in the healing aspect of foods led her to complete (with Distinction) an MSc in Clinical Nutrition at Roehampton University, London.

Since then, she has managed and lectured at prestigious Ayurvedic spas and an Ayurvedic Academy in London. Colette now enjoys giving Ayurvedic consultations, herbal prescriptions and a wide range of therapeutic treatments in Wimbledon Village.

She is currently serving as an executive committee member on the Ayurvedic Professionals Associationand writes Ayurvedic copy for various media. She also lectures on Ayurveda and students find that her love and enthusiasm for Ayurveda is infectious.

Laura Gaspar

Workshops Teacher

Laura is a certified 500-hour Yoga teacher. She first came to yoga through curiosity but with a few doubts, as she had always liked sport and fitness. She was lucky enough to have gone to a Dynamic Vinyasa (Rocket) Yoga class. She loved it at once, moving with the breath was a revelation and an amazing experience, which she still enjoys each time she comes to her yoga mat, practicing this active meditation. Since, she has been practising different kinds of Yoga (Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Rocket, Dharma Mittra and Yin) for many years. In 2012, she completed a 200 hour Yoga Alliance Teacher Training Course in India with The Yoga People, followed up by the 500 hours Yoga Alliance Teacher Training in Rocket, Tripischore techniques, Mandala and Yin. She has been recently certified in Sports Yoga (Yoga Alliance Professionals).

Javi Martinez

Workshops Teacher

With a background in traditional martial arts, boxing and fighting-specific bodyweight training, Javi has spent the past few years exploring a number of ‘softer’ disciplines, with the aim of creating a balanced practice: yoga, qigong, tai chi, gymnastics and calisthenics are now an integral part of his movement training.

He is doing his 300h advanced teacher training with Jason Crandell, and has studied about the Qigong-Yoga fusion with Mimi Kuo-Deemer.

When Javi teaches the emphasis is on anatomical precision, mindful movement, body awareness and functional strength. Creating a fun and dogma-free environment, he focuses his practice on mastering body control to gain freedom of movement, grace and long-lasting health.
